South Orange County Vet Center

We offer confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Our services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). We can also connect you with more support in VA and your community

CA Veteran Service Officer (VSO)

Accredited American Legion Service Officers are specially trained to provide expert assistance, free of charge, to veterans and their families. While the majority of a service officer’s work involves an application for VA disability benefits, these compassionate professionals also provide information, referrals, and resources on education, employment and business, death benefits, and other important topics.
If you have been told your military records are lost, call the VA at (844) 531-7818.

Do you want to buy a home? Do you want to return to school or find a new career in the civilian world? Do you need help navigating the VA’s medical system, or need information about any of your other earned benefits?

The newly updated California Veterans Resource Book offers comprehensive information about those and other benefits. Published by the California Department of Veterans Affairs, it offers vital information at the click of a mouse here, on calvet.ca.gov. Hard copies of the CalVet Resource Book are available at American Legion Post 721 Monthly Meetings.
